This notice covers the AnimationMap website and its connection to the editor’s account service.

What this website collects

Hosting providers process requests, including IP addresses, to deliver the website and protect it from abuse. Public pages and example media are delivered through Cloudflare.

Optional website analytics

If you accept analytics, we load Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand which pages visitors use and how the website performs. Google receives information such as page views, browser and device details, and approximate location. Analytics cookies distinguish visits; they are configured to expire after six months and may be renewed during a visit. We do not enable Google advertising personalization or Google Signals.

Analytics stays off until you accept. Choose “Cookie settings” in the footer to change your choice or withdraw consent. Declining removes this website’s Analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop the loaded tags. Your choice is stored in your browser; clearing browser storage resets it. The site remains usable when you decline. See Google’s privacy policy for its handling of analytics data.

Login and accounts

The login form sends your account details to the AnimationMap editor service. Email signup uses your name, email address and password. If you choose Google sign-in when available, Google shares your profile and email address. The editor stores a password hash for email accounts and uses an essential session cookie to keep you signed in. Passwords and session tokens are not stored in the website’s local storage.

Website analytics is separate from account access. We do not pass passwords, email addresses, project contents, or uploads to the website’s Google tags. Page addresses sent by the website’s Analytics configuration exclude query strings and fragments.

Display preference

If you change the light or dark theme, this website stores that choice in your browser’s local storage. It is used only to remember the display setting.

Example media

Playing a demo requests a video from this website or its configured media provider. We do not embed third-party video players. Public example videos do not contain your projects or uploads.

Projects and exports

Projects saved to your account and uploaded media are handled by the editor service. Public examples are separate from private account files. You can remove saved projects and recent server exports in the editor. Recent server exports are temporary; check their expiry time before downloading. A video exported on your device is downloaded through your browser.

Privacy requests

Use the Feedback button in the editor to contact AnimationMap about your account or request help with data access or deletion. Include the request details, but never send your password. Feedback is reviewed by the AnimationMap administrator.
