Terms of Service
Effective date: 25 October 2026
These terms cover the AnimationMap website at animationmap.com and editor at app.animationmap.com, operated under the AnimationMap name. For support or questions about these terms, contact [email protected].
1. Using AnimationMap
AnimationMap provides tools to create, edit, and export animated map videos. You must be legally able to accept these terms or have the permission of your parent or guardian where applicable. Use the service lawfully and respect other people’s rights. Do not upload malicious files, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the service, or bypass account and payment restrictions.
2. Your account
Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials private, and verify your email when requested. Accounts are for one user and may be limited to one active login location. Do not share an account to avoid subscription limits. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Your projects and content
You retain your rights to the text, images, models, and projects you supply. You give AnimationMap permission to store, process, and render them as needed to provide the service. Upload only content you have permission to use. You are responsible for rights, permissions, and any required attribution in your exported videos. Third-party maps, datasets, flags, fonts, and models may have their own licensing conditions; see Credits and any source notes in the editor. Historical boundaries can be approximate and do not establish legal or political claims.
4. Plans and payment
Available plans, payment availability, and limits are described on our Pricing page. No subscription starts without your explicit purchase. Premium is US$4.99 per month or US$39 per year, plus any applicable taxes shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected interval until cancelled.
Paddle will act as Merchant of Record for purchases made through Paddle checkout. Its Buyer Terms govern that payment relationship; these terms govern your use of AnimationMap. Paddle handles checkout, receipts, applicable sales taxes, and payment refunds. We do not store full payment card details.
The application’s one-day free access does not require a payment card and does not automatically become a paid subscription. Once subscriptions are activated, Premium is required after the free day for new saved projects and exports. Existing users receive a one-day transition from first activation, with notice beforehand. Existing projects remain available to view and edit. An offer price earned by subscribing at the published offer is retained on that account for renewals and a later return to the same plan; taxes can change.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Cancel future renewals through Manage subscription on the app’s billing page or the Paddle portal linked in your receipt. Unless access ends earlier because of a refund, payment reversal, or account restriction, Premium continues through the paid period. Cancelling does not itself refund the current period. See our Refund Policy for requests and consumer rights. Payment failure may suspend paid features.
6. Exports, limits, and availability
Premium includes higher-resolution exports, removal of the AnimationMap watermark from new exports, priority in the server queue, and longer server videos. Resolution, frame count, file size, duration, hardware, and fair resource limits still apply; the export window shows supported settings. Priority does not guarantee a particular completion time. Previously rendered files retain their original settings. Temporary server downloads expire as shown in the editor, so download files you want to keep.
AnimationMap is under active development. Features may change, and interruptions or rendering failures can occur. Keep copies of important projects and exports. Contact us about a persistent fault; applicable remedies and refund rights are preserved.
7. Account restrictions and changes
We may restrict accounts involved in abuse, fraud, security threats, or a material breach of these terms. Where practical, we will explain the issue and allow you to contact support. This does not remove mandatory consumer rights. Material subscription or terms changes will be communicated before they apply; changes will not retroactively remove rights already earned under your purchase.
8. Privacy and legal rights
Our Privacy Policy explains account data, uploads, analytics, and privacy requests. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. For a dispute or complaint, contact [email protected] so we can try to resolve it. You retain any rights to use the courts or consumer protection procedures available under applicable law.
